  • Preparing a 3D environment
    • For example we test convert important scenes in order to understand the width and the depth of the material before we start.
This works as the 3D image board or are used as the artistic settings.
For animation, we take the main characters and create their 3D character settings beforehand so that we don't lose the characters feel when we turn it into 3D.
  • Attention to Detail
    • From each cuts lens and structure the Stereographer builds a 3D environment.
Each cut has to be done with particular care for the purpose of the 3D effect in mind, to make the 3D look natural and fitting.
  • The combination of Automatic Programs and Manual hand work
    • By using a combination of automatic 3D processing and carefully putting together each piece one by one by hand we are able to provide cost effective and flexible service to our clients that meets their deadlines.
If required we can also do 3DCG processing to provide an higher level of 3D graphics.
  • Production done by a small team of highly qualified designers

■ Q&A
  • Q: What is 2D-3D conversion?
    • A: 3D images are made by recording with stereo cameras or by placing cameras inside a CG environment and then performing stereo rendering. Whereas 3D production is based on filming ‘2D-3D conversion technology’ is to take 2D images and process them into 3D images
  • Q: What are the benefits of using 2D-3D conversion?
    • A: Material that was filmed in 3D is very difficult to adjust later on because for filming you need 2 cameras set at precisely the right distance and angle with a particular set of lens used.
Additionally, if adjustments need to be made, because you will be adjusting 2 images with disparity it is almost impossible to rework them live.
In 2D-3D conversion you can adjust the 3D textures freely which lets you create a natural 3D feel or create a 3D image that feels intentional by emphasizing the perspective.
Also, when making adjustments becomes much easier since after you fix the 2D image you turn it into 3D.
One of the benefits of 2D-3D conversion is that you can use the material you were not able to film and turn it into 3D.
